creating a catalog item

Description of problem:

When creating a new catalog item, the Display in Catalog checkbox should be on by default. It's very easy to miss and the use case for creating a catalog item that should not be displayed is far less likely than creating one that should be displayed.

Jeffrey, this is always challenging to change an existing behaviour that customers are used to have...
I will close it..
Thanks

I've seen this come up several more times. Does it really pose a concern in the UI? It's completely non-intuitive for users to create a catalog item that won't be displayed by default. I can see if we are creating Catalog Items programatically via the API where it would be problematic.

Thanks,
-Jeff

The idea is more you create one and work on it until is ready for prime time, then you toggle the "display" button
