Comment 5 Marc-Andre Lureau 2018-07-17 12:53:19 UTC
I have sent an alternative series for review:
[PATCH 0/3] chardev: fix setting FD_PASS for socket type=fd

Comment 6 Marc-Andre Lureau 2018-09-07 06:22:22 UTC
since it has been worked around in libvirt, moving to 7.7 (we could also consider closing it as upstream?)

If we keep it in RHEL, we will also need a libvirt bug to re-enable fdpass for vhost-user.

Comment 7 Marc-Andre Lureau 2018-11-21 19:01:45 UTC
Since this is worked around in rhbz#1597940, and there is still no final upstream solution, I propose to close as UPSTREAM for the qemu side.
