Description Carl George 2018-07-09 01:22:25 UTC
mod_proxy_uwsgi is currently a subpackage of uwsgi. The code for it was was "donated" to the Apache software foundation to be included in httpd [1]. It has been enabled in the Fedora httpd package since 2.4.33-1. I would like to drop it from the uwsgi spec file, but would like to have httpd obsolete it first. Please make httpd obsolete (and perhaps provide) mod_proxy_uwsgi.

httpd-2.4.34-1.fc28 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 28. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2018-49d3b42425

Comment 3 Carl George 2018-07-18 15:19:00 UTC
> Obsoletes: mod_proxy_uwsgi < 2.0.17-1

I've got 2.0.17.1-1 in updates-testing right now, so please bump this obsolete to 2.0.17.1-2.

Comment 5 Carl George 2018-07-18 21:21:05 UTC
Will that commit be merged into f27 and f28 branches as well?

Comment 6 Joe Orton 2018-07-19 07:19:11 UTC
Yup I'll do it Carl, there is one regression in 2.4.34 being tracked upstream, probably want to pull that fix in too before pushing updates.

Comment 8 Carl George 2018-07-19 21:03:18 UTC
httpd-2.4.34-1.fc28 still has the first incorrect obsoletes (2.0.17-1), so it doesn't resolve this bug. Can this bug be dropped from the bodhi update?

Are the -3 packages OK, Carl?

Comment 14 Carl George 2018-07-24 16:54:08 UTC
They look good now. My next uwsgi update will be able to drop the mod_proxy_uwsgi subpackage from the spec file. Thanks!
