Description
Upstream Release Monitoring
2018-07-18 12:14:19 UTC
@Andrew, could you look into whether this update could go into F28 stable? We've gotten reports of problems with Celery 4.0.2, the 4.0.z line is no longer getting bugfix releases upstream. https://pulp.plan.io/issues/3882 Addendum: Problems with 4.0.2 that are fixed in newer releases Hello Daniel, I've read the Celery changes since 4.0.2, and I think it would be acceptable to upgrade Fedora 28 to the Celery 4.1 or even 4.2 series as I do not see any backwards incompatible changes mentioned in their changelog. However, this would require upgrading Kombu as well (to the same version numbers, 4.1 or 4.2, respectively). I am not the Kombu maintainer, so I won't be making that change. Would you care to contact the Kombu maintainer to see if they are willing to do that for you? If so, please file a bug on Kombu and a bug on Celery for this change and we can coordinate it that way. python-celery-4.2.1-1.fc29 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 29. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2018-baf84f4d07 python-celery-4.2.1-1.fc29 has been pushed to the Fedora 29 testing repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. See https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for instructions on how to install test updates. You can provide feedback for this update here: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2018-baf84f4d07 python-celery-4.2.1-1.fc29 has been pushed to the Fedora 29 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. |
