Description of problem:
weird package dependencies prevented upgrade of soundfont. When I tried to work around them with --allowerasing, they caused erase of many packages including eclipse and gdm, which killed graphical desktop.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
soundtouch-2.0.0-3.fc27.x86_64

How reproducible: every time although I can't reproduce it now because I forced the upgrade


Steps to Reproduce:
1. dnf update   to see the update blocking
2. dnf update --allowerasing to see the damage
3.

Actual results:
dnf update results in the following error:
 Problem: package gstreamer1-plugins-bad-free-1.12.4-1.fc27.x86_64 requires libSoundTouch.so.1()(64bit), but none of the providers can be installed
  - cannot install both soundtouch-2.0.0-3.fc27.x86_64 and soundtouch-1.9.2-6.fc27.x86_64
  - cannot install both soundtouch-1.9.2-6.fc27.x86_64 and soundtouch-2.0.0-3.fc27.x86_64
  - cannot install the best update candidate for package soundtouch-1.9.2-6.fc27.x86_64
  - cannot install the best update candidate for package gstreamer1-plugins-bad-free-1.12.4-1.fc27.x86_64

dnf update --allowerasing   deletes a huge set of packages:

all those packages can be reinstalled afterwards, although it turns out that erasing and reinstalling GDM does not fully restore the graphical desktop (I will submit that bug later).
