Description Zdenek Kabelac 2018-07-26 11:50:50 UTC
Description of problem:

It looks for a longer period of time my VPN connection cannot be activate via nm-applet used in xfce4.

VPN connection can be normally started in gnomesession.
Also VPN can be started on cmdline via:

"nmcli con up "VPN-Connection-Name"

Only apple cannot start it and logs:

(nm-applet:1302): nm-applet-WARNING **: xx:xx:xx.xxx: VPN Connection activation failed: (org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.UnknownDevice) Cannot specify device when activating VPN

My naive assumption is - this oldish applet need some update for newer NM API.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 29 development cycle.
Changing version to '29'.
