Customer says:
"With nouveau.modeset=0 screen comes back to life after blanking."

Comment 10 Benjamin Tissoires 2018-09-13 12:49:56 UTC
Apologies for the inconvenience. We won't be able to make 7.6 GA with this bug.
Moving to 7.7.

Comment 29 Rob Clark 2019-03-14 14:39:38 UTC
Should be resolved as of kernel-3.10.0-1020.el7 (at least w/ nouveau.runpm=0, which is a different bug)

Customer comment below:

Tested with P52 the RHEL-7.7-20190502.1-Workstation-x86_64-dvd1.iso snapshot (kernel-3.10.0-1040.el7.x86_64.rpm).

Closing the lid, machine suspends after 20 seconds. I tried a sudo suspend hibernate, on resume screen did hang.

So the suspend works now? From your last comment it is not clear to me whether the resume works (in case it was suspend - to RAM) works as well or it does not only when resuming from hibernation.

Thanks
