In plain text mode, Normal paragraph format, when there's a long URL entered which starts at the beginning of the line and might be wrapped into multiple lines, Evolution's composer adds an extra empty line in front of it, even it is not needed. Specifically:

some text.
http://www.gnome.org/............../page.html

is exported into the plain text part as:

some text.

http://www.gnome.org/............../page.html
