Discussed during the 2018-09-04 blocker review meeting: [1]

The decision to classify this bug as an "AcceptedFreezeException" was made as this issue affects one of our live images and cannot be resolved with an update, the fix is clearly limited to lxqt only, and it cannot break anything else.
