Description of problem:
OK, I admit this is a weird one. The damage on gnome-mines is more obvious - placing mine markers with right-mouse places invisible mine markers. swell-foop the graphics work OK, but the pulldown menus are broken - they grab pointer focus and keep it even after they've closed.  So if you try to quit, your mouse cursor is now held hostage.

backleveling glib2 to glib2-2.57.2-1.fc29.x86_64 makes things work again.

For gnome-mines I think its this regression https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib/issues/1513
which should be fixed in 2.58.1 hopefully

Not sure about swell-foop because I can't reproduce the problem currently
