try from a terminal: $ su - # ifup <interface name> it's down. This doesn't help keep the notifier box visable long enough to read it. Doing strace -o /tmp/log system-config-network was actually much more helpful - but rather tedious. The problem (well second problem, I guess) is that the automatic configuration of the Belkin f5d6020 tries to set the rate to 11 Mbs. Right setting, but since it's the only allowed setting, you can't set the rate. The command /sbin/iwconfig eth1:1 rate 11 Mb/s was failing, since this is not a supported command. The HACK to work around that was to just comment out the RATE setting in the eth1 config file. This report targets the FC3 or FC4 products, which have now been EOL'd. Could you please check that it still applies to a current Fedora release, and either update the target product or close it ? Thanks. Fedora Core 4 is no longer maintained. Setting status to "INSUFFICIENT_DATA". If you can reproduce this bug in the current Fedora release, please reopen this bug and assign it to the corresponding Fedora version. |
