modal dialog displayed

Description of problem:
When using Chrome, after trying to log in with non-existing user or user with wrong password, a modal dialog asking for username and password is shown.

There is nothing to be done with the modal dialog other than cancelling it. It reappears after trying to input bad user/pass, as well as existing and valid user/pass. I cannot login to the appliance using this dialog.

When the dialog is canceled error message appears: "Login failed: Unauthorized".

This occurs only in Chrome. Occurs also in service ui.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
5.10.0.16
Chrome version: 69.0.3497.100 (latest)

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have latest chrome installed and 5.10.0.16 appliance
2. Try to login with made-up credentials
3.

Actual results:
Modal dialog appears; no message about wrong credentials

Expected results:
"Login failed: Unauthorized" message should appear

Comment 9 John Dupuy 2019-10-28 17:27:57 UTC
Will this fix be backported to 5.10? It is blocking some login and authentication testing.
