This message is a reminder that Fedora 28 is nearing its end of life. On 2019-May-28 Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 28. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '28'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Created attachment 1488760 [details] Sample code showing issue Description of problem: When SDL2 full screen application closes, it content remains on screen covering almost all. Application closing properly, because no process is run after exit. System is still usable but you can't see what you're doing. Even lock screen is covered by frozen SDL content. GNOME panel menus (e.g. calendar) is not covered and it's visible. This problem only exist when using wayland video driver (SDL_VIDEODRIVER=wayland variable). With X11 driver everything is fine. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): SDL2-2.0.8-5.fc28.x86_64 How reproducible: Install SDL2-devel, download attached sample code, save it as .c file and compile it by command: gcc -o sdl2test sdl2test.c -lSDL2 Switch to Wayland session and run compiled code from terminal by command: SDL_VIDEODRIVER=wayland ./sdl2test Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run SDL2 application on full screen using wayland driver 2. Exit application Actual results: Application content remains on screen but application exited successfully (no errors or frozen process). Expected results: Application content disappear after applications exited. Additional info: Tested on Intel HD 520 GPU with Mesa 18.0.5.
