Description Bipin Kunal 2018-10-05 08:58:52 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1636334 +++

Description of problem:
When configuring the Hyperconverged environment. The first GDeploy page allows setting IPs for the hosts. The suggested way is to use the FQDN. If an IP is set the GDeploy tries to find the FQDN via PTR record.

This is an unexpecting behaviour as the expectation by the user is that if an IP is set then IP is configured. IPs are usually used when users want to avoid DNS for some reason. If there are incorrect records in DNS system this will lead in deployment failure or can later cause service disruption if incorrect DNS record is removed from the DNS system.

Refer section :

https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_hyperconverged_infrastructure/1.0/html/deploying_red_hat_hyperconverged_infrastructure/rhhi-requirements#rhhi-req-network

Expectation:
Validate that the provided address of the hosts is FQDN.
