Would be nice to see this in F28 and F29. (In reply to Anatoli Babenia from comment #1) > Would be nice to see this in F28 and F29. Thanks for your interest. What new feature is important for you? A couple of bug fixes, with 100% CPU usage is the most important one - https://github.com/andreikop/enki/issues/447 Also newer web engine https://github.com/andreikop/enki/issues/446#issuecomment-407156667 (In reply to Anatoli Babenia from comment #3) > A couple of bug fixes, with 100% CPU usage is the most important one - > https://github.com/andreikop/enki/issues/447 Thanks for the hint. The main issue seems to be explained in #310. https://github.com/andreikop/enki/issues/310 > Also newer web engine > https://github.com/andreikop/enki/issues/446#issuecomment-407156667 As referenced there in a later comment, I requested [3] to drop QtWebKit [4] since about 2 years and it's no hard dependency [1] since at least v17.03.0-2 [2], just tell your dnf to remove the weak dependency. :) [1] https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/enki/blob/master/f/enki.spec#_49 [2] https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/enki/c/22b7ee2f217bd48ff4f5d386aae05a492ac95fbe [3] https://github.com/andreikop/qutepart/issues/51 [4] https://github.com/andreikop/enki/issues/410 Will provide an update soonish for F29 and maybe F28. Do you think QtWebEngine should be an hard depedency? It's declared as an optional feature. Not sure that 100% CPU usage is not a new issue, and need a newer version to try. If QtWebEngine is optional, it should be mentioned in README.md https://github.com/andreikop/enki#1-install-dependencies which features require it. Probably it is Sphinx doc rendering. After I upgrade to F29, I will try to run Enki from source, but no ETA when it can happen. I need to complete a few things with Estonian qdigidoc first. > ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'PyQt5.QtWebEngineWidgets'
Okay, I'll add an hard dependency as a workaround for now.
https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/enki-18.08.0-1.fc29 Please try and report if any issues exist. Leaving karma would be nice. :-) I am not on F29 yet. Maybe I will update this week. enki-18.08.0-1.fc29 has been pushed to the Fedora 29 testing repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. See https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for instructions on how to install test updates. You can provide feedback for this update here: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2018-93d97205bb (In reply to Anatoli Babenia from comment #8) > I am not on F29 yet. Maybe I will update this week. Oh, I guessed so because of your statement in comment #5. An update also for F28 shouldn't be a problem, though. Just let us ripen the new version in F29 for a short time to get some more feedback. enki-18.08.0-1.fc29 has been pushed to the Fedora 29 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. |
