Description Tomas Jelinek 2018-11-07 13:46:44 UTC
Description of problem:
After installing the system to a hard drive using PXE, after restart the VM will be booting again from the network. If the VM is stopped and than started, it boots the system properly from the hard drive.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a VM using the wizard. Provision source to PXE and attach an empty disk to install the system to
2. after installation succeeds, press restart.

Actual results:
The VM boots from the network.

Expected results:
The VM boots from the hard drive

Additional info:
If the VM is stopped and started, it boots properly from the hard drive.

added a comment, the bug is 100% reproducible, so i wouldnt use the 'may' word :)
regarding the difference between the bugs,
maybe instead of writing it twice, you can write it once and highlight that 'restart' option wouldnt solve the boot order issue (with the link to the 2nd bug), but only stop & start would solve it

Comment 3 Nelly Credi 2018-11-26 18:14:16 UTC
oops wrong bug. ignore previous comment please

Comment 4 Radim Hrazdil 2019-01-30 20:00:01 UTC
Verified that after installing OS (tested with CentOS) using PXE and after Restarting the pod, the bootOrder changed accordingly to the expectation. That is, the VM booted from disk, instead of PXE enabled NIC.
