Description Troy Dawson 2018-11-08 17:10:06 UTC
Current beets and beets-plugins for EPEL7 (beets-1.4.3-2.el7) requires
  python-mutagen >= 0:1.23
  python-musicbrainzngs
  python-jellyfish
  python-mpd
  python-acoustid
  pylast

RHEL 7.6 has
  python-mutagen-1.20-6.el7

The following are not in either RHEL 7.6 or EPEL7
  python-musicbrainzngs
  python-jellyfish
  python-mpd
  python-acoustid
  pylast

Please fix this package so that it can be installed in RHEL 7.6.
If you have not responded in a week, we will have a proven packager fix it.
If you know you will not be able to get to it and would like it fixed sooner, please let us know in this bug.
If you feel this package should no longer be in EPEL7, please let us know in this bug.

Comment 1 Marcel Haerry 2018-11-08 19:28:54 UTC
I think the way how we introduced this package was a mistake and it should actually be removed from EPEL. It never worked and given python-mutagen would need to be updated in RHEL itself to 0:1.23 this won't work at all.

I would vote to remove the EPEL package.

Comment 2 Troy Dawson 2018-11-19 17:48:24 UTC
I have verified that nothing depends on beets and beets-plugins in EPEL7.
I will run it through the steps to remove from EPEL7.

Comment 3 Troy Dawson 2018-11-28 17:50:16 UTC
Package retired with
fedpkg retire "Never had all the requirements in EPEL7 to install. Never worked on RHEL7 due to older RHEL7 libraries"
