Description of problem:

Docker images can not be exported from satellite either as repository or as part of CV to be used in disconnected satellite.

How reproducible:

1. Create a custom product & create repository of docker type.
2. Sync the repository.
3. Export the docker images as repository gives below error.

 [root@satellite ~]#  hammer repository export --id  2
Could not export the repository:
  Repository content type must be 'yum' to export.

4. Export it as part of CV gives below error.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a custom product & create repository of docker type.
2. Sync the repository.
3. Export the docker images as repository gives below error. 
4. Export it as part of CV gives below error. 

Actual results:

Export as repository or part of CV fails with error.

Moving this bug to POST for triage into Satellite since the upstream issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/35247 has been resolved.

Hi 

I faced this issue during importing and exporting between two satellites 
Unfortunately I stuck in moving container images for OSP deployment.

What's the work around for this issue 

Any idea!

RHEL 8 Hotfix RPM for Satellite 6.12.4

A Hotfix RPM is available for this BZ for Satellite 6.12.4 on RHEL8


INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS (Satellite 6.12.4 on RHEL8):

1. Take a complete backup or snapshot of Satellite 6.12.4 server

2. Dowload the Hotfix RPM from the attachment: rubygem-katello-4.5.0.33-1.HOTFIXRHBZ1650468.el8sat.noarch.rpm

3. # dnf localinstall ./rubygem-katello-4.5.0.33-1.HOTFIXRHBZ1650468.el8sat.noarch.rpm --disableplugin=foreman-protector

4. # satellite-maintain service restart
