This message is a reminder that Fedora 28 is nearing its end of life. On 2019-May-28 Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 28. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '28'. Created attachment 1507311 [details] patch which appears to fix this issue Description of problem: The package supplied example application which allows mouse selection of geometric features is broken due to a typo in an internal picker shader. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): osgearth-2.7-17.fc28 OpenSceneGraph-3.4.1-5.fc28 How reproducible: Always. A locally-tested patch is attached. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install package "osgearth-examples". 2. From a graphical terminal, run example application "osgearth_featurequery /usr/share/osgearth/tests/feature_geom.earth" 3. Observe the terminal displays error messages below: VERTEX glCompileShader "oe_index_setObjectID" FAILED VERTEX Shader "oe_index_setObjectID" infolog: 0:1(10): error: GLSL 3.30 is not supported. Supported versions are: 1.10, 1.20, 1.30, 1.00 ES, 3.00 ES, 3.10 ES, and 3.20 ES Actual results: Selecting features in the map is not possible. Expected results: Selecting features in the map should display feature details. Additional info: I've tested the attached patch which allows the feature picker to work. I believe that this is a typo in the 2.7 version of osgearth. The 2.8 upstream version is structured slightly differently but uses the same required GLSL version for all of its shaders.
