There is no git in epel7.  The git package (and git19, git29, IIRC) are in RHEL.  I don't know if this is best closed and a RHEL bug opened or can be simply reassigned.

Thanks for the info, I will close this bug. RHEL trackers will be filed later if it's determined that they are required.
