Please let me know if something has changed that I need to do to support "static IP" and kickstart.... For more information, there is a DHCP/PXE server that offers a menu of static IP assignments for installation. The above vmlinuz is showing the result of a choice from that menu. Could you please provide us installation logs? You can find them in the /tmp/*.log. If you are not able to get these, could you please provide us console output with journal log? These options were deprecated in RHEL 7: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/7/html-single/installation_guide/#sect-boot-options-deprecated-removed Argh. I had missed the deprecation.... Just to close it out: 1) Remove ks.device=bootif 2) Drop gateway=, netmask= and consolidate into ip= ip=172.25.254.3::172.25.254.254:255.255.255.0:foundation3.ilt.example.com::none (Hint, don't forget "none" at the end) 3) Change dns= to nameserver= Things are working well now. Thanks for the deprecation pointer.... |
