Description Steve Linabery 2018-12-13 18:09:31 UTC
openvswitch-2.9.0-83.el7fdp.1 produces these warnings from rpmdiff:

Subpackage python-openvswitch on aarch64 x86_64 ppc64le s390x consumes libraries libopenvswitch-2.9.so.0()(64bit) libopenvswitch-2.9.so.0(libopenvswitch_0)(64bit) from subpackage openvswitch but does not have explicit package version requirement.
Please add Requires: openvswitch = %{version}-%{release} to python-openvswitch in the specfile to avoid the need to test interoperability between the various combinations of old and new subpackages.

There is a similar warning about openvswitch-devel, but since we do not ship that package in the openstack product it is lower priority. Still, cleaning up the spec for both subpkgs would let us avoid waiving this rpmdiff issue in the future.
