Description of problem:
The audio does not defaulty work for my audio card anymore 
(it worked in fedora core 3 but in fedora core 4 it doesnt work by default)

Steps to Reproduce:
1.dell 700m audio card (other dell laptops have this also)
Intel Corp. 82801DB (ICH4) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 03)
2. install fedora core 4

Actual Results:  no sound by default

Expected Results:  This is the fix to get it working:

Do you mean using alsamixer to adjust some sound channels? If you do, can you
please attach output of amixer and name of the adjusted channel?
