Description Yuxin Sun 2019-01-18 09:06:16 UTC
Description of problem:
The version number in WALinuxAgent-2.2.32-1 is WALinuxAgent-2.2.32.2, which should be WALinuxAgent-2.2.32.
2.2.32.2 seems not a formal version, which may make customers confused.
Is an upstream issue.
No other feature impact.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
WALinuxAgent-2.2.32-1.el8

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Prepare a VM with WALA package installed.
2. Run "waagent -version"

Actual results:
# waagent -version
WALinuxAgent-2.2.32.2 running on redhat 8.0

Expected results:
WALinuxAgent-2.2.32 running on redhat 8.0

Additional info:
Version number in azurelinuxagent/common/version.py is wrong

Comment 2 Vitaly Kuznetsov 2019-07-16 14:40:23 UTC
This will get fixed with 2.2.38 rebase.

Comment 3 Yuxin Sun 2019-09-11 03:23:42 UTC
Verified in WALinuxAgent-2.2.38-1.el8
