Description Alfredo Moralejo 2019-01-31 15:17:45 UTC
Description of problem:

Fedora 30 is removing to python2 and all python packages should be moved to python3 [0].

This package is providing only python2 subpackage so it should be switched to python3 or dropped.

Note this package is blocking python2 removal for other packages as python-novaclient, etc..

https://github.com/rackerlabs/rackspace-auth-openstack/commits/master looks abandoned, so let's retire python-rackspace-auth-openstack ?

Comment 2 Miro Hrončok 2019-02-06 00:39:09 UTC
In line with the Mass Python 2 Package Removal [0], all (sub)packages of python-rackspace-auth-openstack were marked for removal:

 * python2-rackspace-auth-openstack

According to our query, those packages only provide a Python 2 importable module. If this is not true, please tell us why, so we can fix our query.

Please retire your package in Rawhide (Fedora 30).

If there is no objection in a week, we will retire the package for you.

Alternatively, switch the package to Python 3. If you need more time to do that, please say so, we will hold the removal if that's the case.

We hope this doesn't come to you as a surprise. If you want to know our motivation for this, please read the change document [0].
