Problem still persists on FC4 with kernel 2.6.12-1.1447_FC4 on an Athlon system with nforce chipset. After this message occurs the two cdrom drives that are connected to the IDE controller don't react anymore, i.e. all programs that want to access the cdrom drives hang. the IDE controller should be: 00:09.0 IDE interface: nVidia Corporation nForce IDE (rev c3) (prog-if 8a [Master SecP PriP]) Subsystem: Unknown device 1631:01bc Flags: bus master, 66Mhz, fast devsel, latency 0 I/O ports at e000 [size=16] Capabilities: [44] Power Management version 2 and the two cdrom drives: hdc: HL-DT-STDVD-ROM GDR8161B, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive hdd: _NEC CD-RW NR-9100A, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive Please note that the problem only occurs on hdd. Mass update to all FC4 bugs: An update has been released (2.6.13-1.1526_FC4) which rebases to a new upstream kernel (2.6.13.2). As there were ~3500 changes upstream between this and the previous kernel, it's possible your bug has been fixed already. Please retest with this update, and update this bug if necessary. Thanks. The problem still persists on 2.6.13-1.1526_FC4. Mass update to all FC4 bugs: An update has been released (2.6.14-1.1637_FC4) which rebases to a new upstream kernel (2.6.13.2). A new kernel update has been released (Version: 2.6.15-1.1830_FC4) based upon a new upstream kernel release. Please retest against this new kernel, as a large number of patches go into each upstream release, possibly including changes that may address this problem.
