boost-python3 failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f30

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=32369363

For details on the mass rebuild see:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_30_Mass_Rebuild
Please fix boost-python3 at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
boost-python3 will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 31,
boost-python3 will be retired, if it still fails to build.

What is this package?

The boost RPM already builds a boost-python3 subpackage, and is not an ancient version. Why does boost-python3-1.53.0 even exist? Why does it have a name that conflicts with another package?

Comment 5 Andrea 2019-02-12 13:44:54 UTC
Hi,
i created this package to release boost-python3 to EPEL7 ( you helped me a lot on that!), but the package should be only released there..
i guess i should retire it from Rawhide right?
thanks
Andrea

Comment 6 Jonathan Wakely 2019-02-12 15:55:46 UTC
Right, the spec file should not be present on the "master" branch in git, because that means it's part of rawhide.

Comment 7 Andrea 2019-02-12 17:00:28 UTC
i have retired the package from Rawhide
thanks
Andrea
