Description brian 2005-09-07 20:20:32 UTC
Description of problem:
system-config-netboot currently does not have a way to configure, validate and
use local resources such as a local hard drive for things such as swap, /tmp or
other such use. As part of the bootup process means should be presented that
allow the validation/setup/use of local resources. This could be similar to
FirstBoot that is part of RHEL now but it needs to be something that is reviewed
as part of the boot process with each boot to insure that the local hardware
resource to be used is ready for use. Again refering to the /tmp or swap idea
the bootup should be able to check to see the partitions and filesystems are
ready for use. If they are not ready they should be able to rerun the setup and
continue with bootup.

System-config-netboot is now in maintenance mode only, no further development is planned for RHEL 4.x. Closing as WONTFIX.
