Bugs (1674606 1674608) in the depends on field are not the ones for 4K Native device support.

The technical bugs are:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1364869
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1592916
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1591293

As I know, 4K Native disk support is dependent on RHEL 7.7 and dropped from RHHI-V 1.6

Comment 3 SATHEESARAN 2019-03-06 12:30:26 UTC
4K Native drive support is not yet there for RHHI-V 1.6

Comment 4 Laura Bailey 2019-03-13 03:25:07 UTC
Given support is not going to exist for GA, closing deferred.

Comment 7 SATHEESARAN 2019-12-19 07:04:07 UTC
We need to very clearly state in deployment guide that 4KN support is available only with RHHI-V 1.7 comprising RHV 4.3.8, RHEL 7.7 + RHGS 3.5.1

Updated the above content as Note in section 3.6.1. Disks
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_hyperconverged_infrastructure_for_virtualization/1.7/html-single/deploying_red_hat_hyperconverged_infrastructure_for_virtualization/index?lb_target=stage#rhhi-req-storage-disks

Section 3.6.1 says
"4K native devices are not supported with Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure for Virtualization, as Red Hat Virtualization requires 512 byte emulation (512e) support."

It should be:
"Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure for Virtualization supports 4K native devices. "

Also improve the note.

Current content:
"4K native support is available only with Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure for Virtualization 1.7, comprising Red Hat Virtualization 4.3.8, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.7 and Red Hat Gluster Storage 3.5.1. "

Suggested one:
"4K native support is available only from Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure for Virtualization 1.7, comprising Red Hat Virtualization 4.3.8, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.7 and Red Hat Gluster Storage 3.5.1. "
