This doesn't occur on f29, where meld is meld-3.19.1-1.f29.noarch. My systems are Oracle VirtualBox VMs hosted by macOS in case that matters. Some additional info for when you get a chance to took into this: - Instead of switching to another spin one can switch to gnome-classic and back. - I ran into the same problem on the last two releases of Ubuntu. This problem is likely not due to meld and likely a Wailand issue and probably upstream given that is happens on other Linux distros Following the info at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_debug_Wayland_problems I ran meld these the ways: with 'GDK_BACKEND=x11 meld' the Preferences are available. with 'GDK_BACKEND=wailand meld' Preferences do not show up. (In reply to Elio Maldonado Batiz from comment #2) > - I ran into the same problem on the last two releases of Ubuntu. Mistake, no problem there. Good news, Installed workstation from Fedora 31 Rawhide 20190517.n.0 from https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Results:Fedora_31_Rawhide_20190517.n.0_Summary and don't see the problem any longer. I suspect this was a Wayland problem and not a meld one. It's also working now in f30 with a fresh install of workstation updated to latest. |
