Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 30-beta by Fedora user frantisekz using the blocker tracking app because: The fixed version has been submitted to bodhi: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/python-aniso8601-6.0.0-1.fc30 It makes it possible to install and use python-aniso8601 in Fedora 30. Is the package included / intended to be included in any release media? If not, an FE is probably not necessary, the only case it may benefit is upgrades, I guess... Yeah, it is not going to be included in any release media. I had an impression, that an FE would be acceptable to fix "package not installable" . But I am not going to fight for it, sure it can wait :) May I push the package to stable? It's breaking some of Copr package builds. the freeze exception request has to be reviewed first. Does it mean that it is better to have not-installable package rather than broken package? How this problem relates to freeze exception? It relates to a freeze exception because F30 is frozen right now. For anything to go stable it needs a freeze exception. But I guess it doesn't block us from pressing the "Push to stable" button, or? Once bodhi is unblocked, it will get in ASAP. Sure, you can do that. Discussed during the 2019-03-18 blocker review meeting: [1] The decision to classify this bug as an "AcceptedFreezeException" was made as this package is a build dependency for others, so it not being installable is causing problems for other package builds. We grant it an FE to solve that issue. It should not affect the actual Beta composes at all. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. |
