Description Owen Windsor 2005-09-22 00:44:32 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050524 Fedora/1.0.4-4 Firefox/1.0.4

Description of problem:
I am installing RHES4 update 1 under QEMU. When selecting the package groups to install i unselect gnome and xorg, by default KDE is unchecked. I unselect all the server admin tools, have not GUI tools and remove printing support.

On reboot of the system, it boots back in to the GUI login screen. I am unable to login as root as the postinstall config portion of the install is not completed on reboot and a new user is not created.

When i get in and look at the RPM list (rpm -qa | grep kde) and for xorg the following packages are installed on the system

kdelibs-3.3.1-3.10
kdebase-3.3.1-5.5
kdemultimedia-3.3.1-2
unixODBC-kde-2.2.9-1
xorg-x11-Mesa-libGL-6.8.2-1.EL.13.6

xorg-x11-libs-6.8.2-1.EL.13.6
xorg-x11-Mesa-libGLU-6.8.2-1.EL.13.6

The compat-arch groups include a number of libraries, include xorg and kde ones.
