Verified on RHEL 8.1, the mcelog version there is 162-2.el8 which gets correctly reported: $ mcelog --version mcelog 162-2.el8 Test will be updated appropriately (possibly even the upstream has this check, will look). Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
