Description Brian Wheeler 2005-09-27 15:10:06 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050922 Fedora/1.0.7-1.1.fc4 Firefox/1.0.7

Description of problem:
When trying to download new extensions, addons.mozilla.org requires mozilla to be updated past 1.0.4. Checking the about box shows 1.0. On i386 the problem doesn't exist (and the about box shows 1.0.7). Both architecures are running the same RPM version.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
firefox-1.0.7-1.1.fc4

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. click on 'tools'
2. click on 'extensions'
3. click on 'get more extensions'
4. be disappointed when a 'you must upgrade firefox' page appears.

Actual Results: A page requiring firefox 1.0.4 or greater is displayed.

Expected Results: The firefox extension page should show up.

You're getting the wrong version somehow. The RPM is correct, but you have a
1.0 laying around which is getting launched inadvertently. Maybe you installed
a Firefox 1.0 from mozilla.org? How are you launching Firefox?

Comment 2 Brian Wheeler 2005-09-27 15:21:36 UTC
I'm an idiot. There's a /opt/firefox and a symlink in /usr/local/bin to it.
Sorry about that.
