Description Stephen Gallagher 2019-03-28 13:23:36 UTC
Description of problem:
In order for libdnf to port to libmodulemd 2.x, several fixes[1] and API enhancements that were added in libmodulemd 2.2 are required. Backporting these fixes individually would be infeasible. The upgrade to 2.2.x is backwards-compatible (and heavily regression-tested upstream).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
libmodulemd-2.0.0-5.el8

[1] Most importantly, https://github.com/fedora-modularity/libmodulemd/issues/212 which was a somewhat invasive fix.

Comment 1 Stephen Gallagher 2019-04-24 15:47:04 UTC
Updating the subject since we needed to add some new interfaces to support createrepo_c/mergerepo_c upstream that bumped the minor release. (Upstream follows semver strictly.)
