Forgot to add that this is a regression that started when I upgraded from Fedora 28 to Fedora 29. And just to confuse things further, there is a card set up, but not any sink for it. It shows a bunch of correct profiles, but all the profiles state "available: no". This seems to have resolved itself after a kernel upgrade. Closing. |
Description of problem: PulseAudio fails to set up a sink for the built-in audio after suspend. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): pulseaudio-12.2-1.fc29.x86_64 alsa-lib-1.1.8-1.fc29.x86_64 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Suspend machine 2. Resume machine 3. Play audio Actual results: Silence, Expected results: Sound in speakers. Additional info: ALSA shows the card and there is no issue playing stuff directly using aplay. So it is just PulseAudio that is upset. Restarting PulseAudio using "systemctl --user restart pulseaudio" does not fix the issue.
