Depending on the level of support your contract provides, please use the
Red Hat web based support services located at http://www.redhat.com/support
and/or phone based support at 1-888-RED-HAT1 when reporting problems, or
requesting technical support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

The described problem sounds rather suspiciously like a hardware flaw,
or too high of brightness/contrast on the display. Try turning the
contrast and/or brightness down.

If that doesn't resolve the issue however, please contact Red Hat via
one of the support mechanisms outlined above, and a support representative
will assist you in diagnosing the problem further and trying to find a
solution or workaround.

Thanks in advance.

Comment 6 Karl Latiss 2006-02-06 03:39:02 UTC
I can't see how it's a hardware issue as there are no flickering issues when
using the drivers supplied by nvidia.

Comment 7 Adam Jackson 2010-08-27 15:32:03 UTC
NVIDIA hardware support is no longer being updated in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4. Please use newer versions of RHEL for updated hardware support.
