I cannot reproduce running plasma from fedora kde-spin install of f30. Clearly, the phonon plugin isn't loading for you for some reason (though fyi amarok is still a qt4/kde4 application, so it'll use the qt4-based plugin, not the qt5 one) How did you install fedora? (what spin or edition) What DE are you using? migration from fedora 29 to fedora 30 went (unfortunately) in two steps: - dnf system-upgrade which couldn't boot up after 'dnf system-upgrade reboot'(due likely from what I see in current F30 bug reports to the grub entry created by an antediluvian fedora install) - so burnt a DVD image with Fedora 30 beta / kde spin and reinstalled everything the qt4 & qt5 phonon backends *are* installed... I tried to switch from gstreamer to vlc backends with same results A+ I take it back, can reproduce the error now. amarok-2.9.0-4.fc30 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 30. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2019-4aebf8bc56 may also require runtime components from https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2019-399cb1caab though I still sometimes get messages on startup about phonon backends, amarok still works amarok-2.9.0-4.fc30 has been pushed to the Fedora 30 testing repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. See https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for instructions on how to install test updates. You can provide feedback for this update here: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2019-4aebf8bc56 Just tested the proposed fix => works as expected. Thanks for the support ! (sorry for the late reply, I've been AFK for the week) A+ amarok-2.9.0-4.fc30 has been pushed to the Fedora 30 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. |
