Description Ravindra Patil 2019-04-25 21:25:36 UTC
Description of Requirement :

Using Cockpit, we can create new virtual machines and install operating systems on virtual machines. We can also delete virtual machines.

While creating new virtual machine, there is no option available to import any existing VM image from the disk.

Cockpit only allows to create new Virtual Machine but it does not have any option to allow user to load or import any existing VM from disk and then use it.

Business Case:

It would be helpful for folks moving VMs around to have cockpit-machienes able to import a VM Image from disk.

Technical Requirements:

Extend the "Create New VM" dialog box under "Virtual Machines" to permit using a .qcow or .vmi on the host as the source for the VM rather than requiring a fresh install.

Timeline:

RHEL8
