Description of problem:
When booting desktop initially and choose Japanese as a language, gnome-initial-setup suggests as following for input sources:

Japanese (PC-98)
Japanese (Kana Kanji)
Japanese
Japanese (Dvorak)
Japanese (Macintosh)
...

"Japanese" is chosen by default but the best choice should be "Japanese (Kana Kanji)". this was also happened in Fedora and already fixed by upstream. we need to backport a fix for RHEL8 too.

gnome-initial-setup-3.28.0-8.el8.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.log into desktop as new user
2.select Japanese as language
3.see default input source

Actual results:
"Japanese" or "日本語" is chosen

Expected results:
"Japanese (Kana Kanji)" or "日本語 (かな漢字)" should be chosen by default.

Yes, it's still the same behaviour with 8.2

That patch sadly doesn't apply cleanly thanks to reduce-initial-setup-redundancy.patch, but should be pretty easy to backport.

[test@localhost ~]$ rpm -qa gnome-initial-setup
gnome-initial-setup-3.28.0-9.el8.x86_64

By default, '日本語 (かな漢字)' is the input source now as expected.
Marking it as verified.
