Description Qin Ping 2019-05-15 05:46:57 UTC
Description of problem:
The "Disabling federation for an API type" part of the description of federation operator needs to be fixed

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
oc get clusterversion
NAME VERSION AVAILABLE PROGRESSING SINCE STATUS
version 4.1.0-0.nightly-2019-05-14-202907 True False 11m Cluster version is 4.1.0-0.nightly-2019-05-14-202907

Operator version: 0.0.10

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Login into webconsole
2. Catalog->OperatorHub->Federation
3. "Joining Clusters" part

Actual results:

This will disable the propagation of federated deployments, but leave the API surface and FederatedTypeConfig intact.

To fully remove the API surface, use the --delete-from-api flag:

kubefedctl disable deployments.extensions --federation-namespace=<namespace> --delete-from-api

Expected results:
1. API surface is kept, but FederatedTypeConfig is deleted.
2. --delete-from-api parameter is instead of --delete-crd
