Description of problem:

Error activating XKB configuration.
It can happen under various circumstances:
- a but in libxklavier library
- a but in X server (xkbcomp,xmodmap utilities)
- X server with incompatible libxkbfile implementation

If you report this situation as a bug, please include:
- The result of <b>xprop -root | grep XKB</b>
- The result of <b>gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd</b>

Ok, i'm using Fedora Core 4 and i was trying to install two keyboard layouts 1 
Macedonian and another Polish.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):


How reproducible:

This was done by simply trying to add both Polish and Macedonian keyboard 
layouts. From the Desktop -> Preferences -> Keyboard
From the Menu located in X windows (GNOME)

Actual results:
Error above

Expected results:
Accepted Keyboard layout with out errors

Version number, I installed from the available Fedora Core 4 Distribution CD's.

the X.Org bugzilla located at http://bugs.freedesktop.org in the "xorg"
component.

Once you've filed your bug report to X.Org, if you paste the new
bug URL here, Red Hat will continue to track the issue in the
centralized X.Org bug tracker, and will review any bug fixes that
become available for consideration in future updates.

I have found someone else has reported the same bug as me there bug URL is

I am also seing this after having attached a new keyboard and attempting to
define the layout under Desktop>Preferences>Keyboard.
