I believe you're using Red Hat Linux 6.1, not 6.2 Its behaviour is flawed like you reported. RH 6.2 seems to work just fine. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 10426 *** I am running 6.2 but installed as an upgrade. It may be that ping did not upgrade properly. I have now installed it --force from the CD and the problem is solved. Thanks. |
