To avoid libtool bloat and needless extra dependancies, please omit
/usr/lib/libgdbm.la from packaging.

An Example of problems caused by it's inclusion:
digikamimageplugins (bug #171505, comment #1)

OK, technically the problem sited isn't caused by libgdbm.la, but the existence
of digikam's .la file, but the consequences are the same.
