Description Peter Hutterer 2019-06-04 05:52:35 UTC
Description of problem:
Mapping the ring of an Intuos Pro to an actions doesn't update the OSD, though the mapping is retained.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gnome-control-center-3.28.2-4.el8.x86_64

How reproducible:
Plug an Intuos Pro in, click Map Buttons in the wacom panel.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Move the ring, set either direction to a keystroke, click Done.
  - this immediately switches back to "None"
2. Click the center button in the ring
  - the display remains at "Mode Switch (Group 0)"
3. goto 1

Actual results:
The OSD never reflects what's configured, but when you go out of the OSD the various ring actions do result in the key strokes configured, including the mode switch bits.

Comment 1 Olivier Fourdan 2019-06-07 13:45:59 UTC
I think the OSD is now in gnome-shell, so this might be a bug in gnome-shell actually (rather than control center)

Comment 2 Carlos Garnacho 2019-12-16 15:33:52 UTC
This is fixed by mutter-3.32.2-26 in combination with gnome-shell-3.32.2-13. Either alone won't fix the bug, but won't break anything either.

Comment 4 Michael Boisvert 2019-12-17 16:38:32 UTC
Verified on mutter-3.32.2-26.el8.x86_64 and gnome-shell-3.32.2-13.el8.x86_64.
