Hello,

I'm the current maintainer of icewm.
Due to severe time constraints I was pretty much AFK for a long period of time.
If you're willing to take over icewm, I'll be happy to give you the main chair and stay as co-maintainer.

@Gilboa Davara, great to hear! Welcome back. IceWM still could be pretty much usable and somewhat ready out of box. Also upstream not dead. I building it in COPR and would like if this go to main Fedora repos. I still improving it and there is a room for improvements. Also in COPR i did some tweaks which could be not acceptable for main Fedora repos, so probably better not include them, like font rendering tweaks. I will appreciate and happy of any of your help with this package. TY.

Short update: I started working on latest IceWM release. Hopefully it'll be pushed in the near future.

I already send a PR on src.fedoraproject.org. Its already built and works. Please add me as co-maintainer for icewm and springlobby package. I will maintain it for Fedora and EPEL releases.

Can you send a package admin request? I'll add you.
(As far as I remember I cannot do it with you asking for co-maintainer access)

If i remember correctly you should add me there https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/icewm/settings#usersgroups-tab

I'll build new icewm only for Rawhide and F31 because your current icewm works fine and there a lot changes which should not pushed to current Fedora release according to update policy.

But now there much more reason why **we should** update icewm in Rawhide because it FTBFS. So i build new one for Rawhide and will continue improve and will try simplify .spec file more. And when you will have more free time we can improve it together. :)

Can commit now. Thank you @Gilboa. Already built 1.6.1 version in COPR but will wait a little bit until this bug investigate and then then I'll push new commits

Can't commit, can't push:

Weird. No idea why.

Stupid question:
Which release should we pull? 1.6.1, 1.5.5 or 1.4.2 (which is the last official release)?

I closed my old PR and already built for F31 and Rawhide and pushed latest 1.6.1 version with some upstream patches. IMO we shouldn't push this new build in current F29 and F30.

... We nearly ready to push 1.6.1 myself :)
I agree about keeping 1.6.1 rawhide only for now.

Did you like this new build or meh? :) It's still WIP and need to polish out of box experience and icon set. But i trying to do this with upstream (icewm and theme authors).

Yes, it now built and works fine for F31 and Rawhide.

@Gilboa, if you have a time, please check also this PR and merge it. People reporting that they can't ever run it without this dependency
