Can you answer some questions about this?

Was the version of Satellite different between upload and refresh?
How long before upload/refresh was the manifest created?
What happens when you switch back to connected mode?

Customer is using 6.4. However, let me verify the mentioned details and I will provide an update on it.

Please find the answer to your queries inline.

Was the version of Satellite different between upload and refresh?
A. It's the same manifest used for all updates.

How long before upload/refresh was the manifest created?
A. The manifest was created earlier this year in February.

What happens when you switch back to connected mode?
A. Can't switch to connected mode, the satellite is isolated.

I have confirmed that I see the same/similar behavior if:

- import manifest
- 'product list --organization Test'

- refresh manifest
- 'product list --organization Test'

Note: this is unrelated to disconnected environment.

This was intentionally done as part of this bz: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1588149

For hammer commands, i might suggest using 'label' instead of name to identify a product, as they will never change.

Connecting redmine issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/27661 from this bug

Comment 12 Justin Sherrill 2019-08-21 18:09:41 UTC
We actually discovered that the characters were being stripped unintentionally at initial creation, the bz mentioned added the 'correcting' at later refreshes. We've worked on removing the stripping

Comment 13 Andreas Bleischwitz 2019-08-23 07:08:25 UTC
How would one get he output of the labels by using hammer? There seem to be no option and at least I have not been able to get them for i.e. the product list.

Changing the output format did not reveal them as well.

Any advises?

ON_QA Verified

@Satellite 6.7.0 snap 3.0

Steps/Observation:

- Shows the same after Manifest upload/refresh.

[root@hp-dl180-04 ~]# hammer product list --organization-id 3 |grep Soft
