After evaluating this issue, there are no plans to address it further or fix it in an upcoming release. Therefore, it is being closed. If plans change such that this issue will be fixed in an upcoming release, then the bug can be reopened. |

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): guest - rhel8.1 (20190723 compose) gnome-shell-3.32.2-6.el8.x86_64 spice-vdagent-0.19.0-1.el8.x86_64 client/host - rhel 8.1 virt-viewer-7.0-3.el8_0.1.x86_64 spice-server-0.14.2-1.el8.x86_64 spice-gtk3-0.37-1.el8.x86_64 qemu-kvm-2.12.0-81.module+el8.1.0+3619+dfe1ae01.x86_64 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1.boot VM and connect to it (remote-viewer spice://$IP:$PORT) 2.manually resize remote-viewer window which effectively modifies resolution of VM display Actual results: Resolution of display is modified while desktop background resolution not. Blue stripes at the sides of desktop background emerge. Expected results: Resolution of desktop background is modified in conformity with resolution of VM's display Additional info:
