This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 31 development cycle. Changing version to '31'. This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 31 development cycle. Changing version to 31. Please answer the above questions. If you don't, the package can be orphaned: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/F31_Mass_Python_2_Package_Removal#Information_on_Remaining_Packages If you need any information or help, or if you need some more time, please let us know. Upstream relies on the compiler module quite heavily, which is python 2 only. There is a pull request to replace it with ast module which could be ported to python 3 afterwards: https://github.com/shedskin/shedskin/pull/261 Porting to python 3 is definitely appreciated from upstream, yet unclear about the timeline. Hope that helps... If you'd like to keep the package in Fedora 32, please open a FESCo exception for it. An example is here: https://pagure.io/fesco/issue/2208 However, nothing in Fedora needs the compiler, and it seems it doesn't have many users. It might be time to retire it from Fedora, and let developers pip install it from upstream if they need it. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1777642 *** |
