The Insights Ansible role [1]   has been updated to better align with the new version of  the Insights client  

(redhat-access-insights -> insights-client).

The role is bundled in Satellite via an RPM and needs to be updated to version 1.7.1

Lindani, can you please list changes that QE should look for/verify? Is there some risk of bringing this version comparing to 1.6?

Moving this bug to POST for triage into Satellite 6 since the upstream issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/28360 has been resolved.

@Marek,

The main thing to validate is that the role correctly installs the insights client the same way as before.

Going to rope in Jason Stephens for any additional testing we need.

VERIFIED.

@Satellite 6.7.0 Snap14
ansiblerole-insights-client-1.7.1-1.el7sat.noarch

by following manual steps:

1) Check for rpm presence in default Satellite install

# rpm -q ansiblerole-insights-client
ansiblerole-insights-client-1.7.1-1.el7sat.noarch

>>> the updated version of the role is present 

2) Register and set up for REX a RHEL7 and a RHEL6 host

3) Assign RedHatInsights.insights-client role to the hosts and Play the roles for them

>>> On RHEL7 host the role is being played successfully

>>> On RHEL6 host it fails due to missing libselinux-python rpm (it was reported by me already) after providing the rpm the role is being played successfully too
